New associate Mark Jones, joins the new team having worked in the LL&H sector in the Midlands and with 25 years experience in the property industry. Cameron Wright, another new associate will be working alongside Mark in the new regional team. He joins the Birmingham office to specifically approach and expand the departments involved in the LL&H market. Jim Heskin moves down from GVAs Manchester office, having worked in valuation and agency sector on a variety of leisure properties in the past 18 months. Christopher Lloyd, an associate in the landlord, tenant and lease consultancy department completes the team, having worked at GVA Grimley for 20 years. Management Acquisition Bigwood has acquired property management specialist Peter Checkley and Co to widen its commercial activities in Birmingham following a return to the city centre after 20 years. All Peter Checkley & Co clients and the agency and property management business are being transferred to Bigwood with immediate effect. Peter Checkley is joining Bigwood as a consultant. He will be helping with the handover and working with Stephen Prichard. Double Promotion Phoenix Beard had promoted two of its surveyors to associates. Andrew Rainbow, from the companys building consultancy department becomes an associate building surveyor while Christian Smith from the agency department is now an associate agency surveyor. |
![]() New appointments at Turley Associates Planning Posts The Birmingham office of Turley Associates have announced ten new appointments. The new recruits include three senior planners, Diane Bowers, Stuart Sage, Paul Instone, and assistant planner, Josie Spilsbury. Director DTZ has appointed Shawn Riley as associate director in its planning and development team in Birmingham. Shawn was previously enterprise and development manager at Brierley Hill Regeneration Partnership for four years, and prior to that town centre regeneration manager for Dudley metropolitan Borough Council. MD Its all change at the top for Phoenix Beard. Simon Farrant will take over as managing director when Roger Poynton retires at the end of December 2007. Mr Poynton said Simon Farrant was the boards unanimous choice to succeed him and that he was confident he would continue to build the company. |
