New life is to be breathed into a former ironstone quarry in Desborough as Hampton Brook Developments and its joint partner – CJC – start work on a new distribution facility.

The Northampton based developer has completed major groundworks on the site and has now started erecting the steel frame of the 473,689 sq ft project – which once completed will be occupied by Great Bear Distribution.
Great Bear Distribution has initially agreed to lease the fully fitted facility for a term of 10 years at £4.75 psf – believed to be the largest pre-let in Northamptonshire this decade – and Hampton Brook has subsequently sold the freehold investment of the facility to Arlington Securities, represented by CBRE – achieving a new initial yield of 6%.
Hampton Brook proposes to undertake further business development on the 50 acre site and opportunities for projects up to 160,000 sq ft are available.
Marchington
Acting on behalf of Mourant & Co Trustees Ltd, Kingston & Partners have let Unit 32, Bays A & B Marchington Industrial Estate, Marchington to C F Anderson & Son Ltd. The premises comprise 2,322.5 sq m (25,000 sq ft) and are let on a three year fri lease at £68,750 pa.
