![]() CBRE's Will Ventham unveils the new advertising boards at Quartz Point Business Park, Solihull Solihull Construction has started at Quartz Point Business Park Maximus new £9m office development in Solihull. The development is scheduled for completion September 2008. When finished, Quartz Point will comprise 12 high-quality office units, ranging from 214 sq m (2,309 sq ft), plus 130 on-site car parking spaces. The offices are available to let or buy on a virtual freehold basis for owner-occupiers or buy-to-let investors. CB Richard Ellis and KWB have been appointed as joint agents. Bromsgrove Acting on behalf of Chase Commercial Ltd, Crouch Butler has gained detailed planning consent from Bromsgrove District Council for a 7,000 sq m (75,000 sq ft) scheme of small business units at Bromsgrove Technology Park, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. Parking for 188 cars is also included. The scheme provides highly flexible space suitable for a mix of office, workshop, storage and distribution functions. |

Chase Commercial Ltd intends to start development of all 75,000 sq ft in March. Atisreal and Phoenix Beard have been appointed agents and are to market units from 220 sq m (2,368 sq ft) to 1,500 sq m (16,149 sq ft). It is anticipated that the first units will be available for occupation this autumn while the whole scheme should completed by the end of 2008. Edgbaston Calthorpe Estates has secured an Express by Holiday Inn Hotel for their new £100m retail and leisure development, Edgbaston Mill, in Birmingham. The £14m investment by Starboard Hotels brings a 200 bedroom Express by Holiday Inn Hotel to the 450,000 sq ft scheme, situated opposite Edgbaston Cricket Ground. The hotel will be owned and operated by Starboard Hotels under franchise agreement with Intercontinental Hotels Group. It is anticipated that work will commence on the commercial element of the scheme in spring, with completion of the first phase targeted for 2009. Burton-on-Trent Development funding has been secured for a £17.6m Burton industrial scheme. Acting on behalf of Anson Developments, Knight Frank has secured funding through Standard Life Investments for The Duke in Burton. The scheme is set to provide 300,000 sq ft prime warehouse and distribution space and due to complete in the summer. The Duke is set on a 14.0 acre site on Wellington Road in Burton which runs through established distribution park Centrum 100. |
