Worcester
St Modwen is set to begin the first phase of the £20m Great Western Business Park development which as acquired from BRB (Railways) Ltd in May 2006. This is Worcester’s largest brownfield site and has lain derelict for well over a decade.
Work on the initial 109,000 sq ft phase will begin early February and will provide employment units from 2,200 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft, which will be available from September.
The units will be available to let or purchase and asking prices will be from £6.50 psf (letting) or £95 psf (purchase).
Further phases of the development are planned on the 23-acre site to meet demand over the next 12 to 18 months. Humberts are the letting/sales agent for the scheme.


Nottingham
Godwin Developments and Hillarys Developments have obtained detailed planning consent for a 33,000 sq ft new office scheme on London Road at the Southern Gateway of Nottingham city centre.
They are now looking to attract users or developers to bring forward this scheme, which could have an ultimate end value of approx £8m.
The scheme revitalises existing Victorian buildings fronting London Road, respecting the heritage of the site by retaining the most prominent Victorian building and implementing a five storey new build element which wraps round the retained part of the scheme.
The Nottingham office of Fisher Hargreaves Proctor have been instructed to take forward marketing of the site.






Proposed hotel on Brayford Wharf North, Lincoln

Plans for a new £10m six-storey hotel have been submitted to Lincoln City Council. The proposed hotel on Brayford Wharf North would have 97 bedrooms along with eight suites, public restaurants and bars and a state of the art health and fitness suite.
The proposed scheme was submitted by Lichfield Planning on behalf of the developer Manorcrest and the landowner British Waterways.
If approved, construction is expected to being in January 2009 and the hotel would be open by the summer of 2010.
