Nottingham
A new office development is to be constructed next to the proposed new
JJB destination store and fitness club, at Victoria Park in Nottingham.
Nottingham developer Bildurn Properties, is behind the £10m JJB
project and is also proposing a self contained office development Imperial
Terrace, adjacent to the superstore and fitness club. The entire scheme
should be completed next spring.
The 800 sq m (8,600 sq ft) two storey scheme comprises a terrace of four
self-contained units each of approx 200 sq m (2,150 sq ft). Occupiers
will have the opportunity for larger space by combing adjoining units.
Imperial Terrace will be situated next to JJBs brand new 3,300 sq
m (35,520 sq ft) site on Victoria Retail Park.

Doncaster
Derbyshire based developers Sladen Estates have begun construction of
the latest phase of the redevelopment for the former WW2 parachute factory
site of Wheatley Hall Road in Doncaster. The two unit warehouse and industrial
scheme is a joint venture with GE Real Estate.
The 45 acre mixed use Quest Park Development site has already undergone
substantial redevelopment by Sladen Estates. The addition of the industrial
and warehouse units will create further flexibility for the scheme. The
units, named P90 and P22, provide 90,016 and 22,443 sq ft of accommodation
respectively and are scheduled for completion in December 2007.

Newark
Henry Davidson Developments, part of the Fuducia Group, has received planning
permission to build a £2m 930 sq m (10,000 sq ft) neighbourhood
retail centre on one acre in Balderton, Newark.
Half of the seven units, on a 1,200 home residential development, Fernwood
Park, have been taken before work begins, with Tesco securing the 255
sq m (2,750 sq ft) anchor unit for a convenience store and Woks Wagon
signing up for two outlets from which to run takeaway restaurants.
Work begins on the single storey scheme in August, with completion due
in January 2008.
Hereford
The masterplan for Herefords £900m regeneration project, the
biggest building job in the city since the cathedral, has been unveiled,
starting a three month consultation period when the public can have its
say on the merits of the plan to breathe new life into the economy of
the countys main shopping and business centre, and to bring sustainable
new homes to the city.
The plan to redevelop a 100-acre area, including the old livestock market,
has been pulled together by ESG Herefordshire Ltd, set up by Herefordshire
Council and the regional development agency. Advantage West Midlands.
The detailed masterplan lays down the guidelines for the location and
design principles for each of the sectors, the Retail Quarter on the 12.5
acre livestock market, a Civic Quarter and a 1,000 home Blackfriars Urban
Village, together with a new link road through the development.
