The Woodpecker Inn, Dartmoor has been sold in administration to a property
developer through Christie &Co.
Offers in the region of £500,000 were sought for the freehold on
behalf of administrator Ian Walker, the Exeter-based partner of Begbies
Traynor.
The detached property comprises 40-cover restaurant and 40-cover family
room, three-bedroom owner’s accommodation, large gardens and a car
park and a detached storage area. Planning permission was granted for
the construction of 11 en-suite letting bedrooms.
The Country Maid sandwich shop situated in Ivybridge has been sold through Christie & Co after 16 years in the same ownership.
The business occupies part of the ground floor of a modern three-storey building with a car park space to the rear.
An asking price of £99,950 was sought for the leasehold interest of the Country Maid and it was sold for an undisclosed sum.
