The Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry has sold the Swan at Ascott-under-Wychwood to Gloucestershire buyer Richard Lait.
Richard Lait’s plans are to close the business for a comprehensive refurbishment that will see it re-launched in 2008 as a dining pub with letting bedrooms. The asking price was offers over £525,000.
Bratton Fleming
Stratton Creber Commercial of Plymouth and Cowlin Commercial of Barnstaple have disposed of the freehold interest in the White Hart Inn

and Jellybellys Restaurant at Bratton Fleming, near Barnstaple, on behalf of the appointed trustees of the former owners in bankruptcy to Enterprise Inns plc. The freehold property is situated in the centre of the village of Bratton Fleming and provides a substantial vacant public house with adjoining bistro/restaurant together with large owners accommodation and separate annex. Enterprise Inns plc was the successful bidder following an informal tender scenario. The property sold in excess of the guide price of £375,000.
Hayle
Gerry and Kathy Brown have taken over the Old Quay House Inn at Griggs Quay, Hayle. The couple bought the business through Bettesworths for an undisclosed sum off an asking price of £1,750,000.
Taunton
Mambo have acquired Millers Café Bar in Taunton. The business was previously owned by C I Traders and sold by Stonesmiths of Exeter.
Internally the accommodation is arranged over four floors with the trade areas on the ground and first floor, which include bar, restaurant, dining and function areas. The second and third floor maisonette is arranged as staff/owner accommodation with two double bedrooms. The property was extended in 1999 to include the outside seating areas and first floor terraces. A freehold business, Stonesmiths sold Millers off an asking price of £850,000.
