Avonmouth
Work has started on the South West’s largest speculative industrial development on Severnside.
Gazeley’s G. Park scheme will see a new 206,000 sq ft and another 117,000 sq ft unit take shape at the Western Approach site, near Avonmouth and the second Severn crossing.
King Sturge and DTZ are joint letting agents for the site, which is the first speculative development in Severnside for five years. The construction is anticipated to be completed in October 2007.
Bristol
Branded black taxis in Bristol have been called up to help launch a new nationwide initiative to attract industrial and warehousing business to the city.
The taxis are spreading the word about Bristolworks – a new venture

launched by Segro, formerly Slough Estates, who operate trading estates at Pucklechurch, The Beeches at Yate and Emerald Park East at Emerson’s Green.
More than 50 property agents from throughout the UK attended the launch of the new venture in Bristol and toured the three locations with Gareth Osborn, regional director of Segro, and Chris Davies and Tim Davies of Colliers CRE.
The three industrial and trading estates have more than one million square feet of business space and are the first to come under the Bristolworks brand.
Segro plan to buy more industrial space in the Bristol area so that Bristolworks will give industrial and distribution businesses the choice of more than two million square feet of space.
