Oakhouse Hotel, in Axbridge has changed hands through the Bristol office
of Christie & Co.
There is a main bar with an adjoining 20-cover dining area, a lounge
area and a 60-cover restaurant/function room. The nine letting bedrooms
have recently undergone a refurbishment programme.
Oakhouse Hotel was sold on behalf of David Pate and Tom Killilea of
Seaward Leisure, who purchased the business through Christie & Co
two years ago. The new purchasers are local investors, Steve Jenkins
and Jude Payne.
Oakhouse Hotel was sold for an undisclosed sum from an asking price
of £595,000 for the freehold interest.
St Austell
Miller Commercial of Truro have recently arranged the letting of 4 Market
Street, St Austell.
The premises, previously occupied by Holmes & Jardin Estate Agents,
provided a ground floor retail sales area with offices above. The accommodation
totalled 126.4 sq m (1,360 sq ft).
No. 4 Market Street was let by way of an assignment of the existing
12-year lease expiring July 2015, at a current passing rental of £12,000
pa.
The premises are soon to become The Cutting Room hair salon.
Trudoxhill
Humberts have recently agreed the sale of Knoll Hill Farm & Guest
Accommodation, Trudoxhill, south of Bath on behalf of their clients.
The property was available at offers in excess of £1.25m and was
sold after competitive bidding.
The property provided a period five bedroom detached farmhouse along
with a purpose built barn conversion with five high quality 5* rated
letting rooms, all en-suite. The property was set in just over three
acres.
South Tawton
The Seven Stars Inn in South Tawton near Okehampton has been sold through
Christie & Co.
The detached property comprises a refurbished bar, 32 cover restaurant,
four bedroom owners accommodation, patio beer garden and potential for
letting rooms.
The inn has been sold for an undisclosed figure after Christie &
Co sought £40,000 for a private, free of tie lease which commenced
in March 2006 for a term of 15 years with an annual rent of £46,000.
Culmstock
A former pub has been sold for development in Culmstock. Previously
trading as the Ilminster Stage, the property was sold by Stonesmith
off an asking price of £325,000.
The property consists of a main bar area and restaurant with a catering
kitchen, stores and a cellar at ground floor and above four bedrooms,
a shower room and a flatlet with bedsit and kitchen.
Duloe
Enterprise Inns has acquired Ye Olde Plough Horse Inn in Dulow through
Bettesworths.
The pub features a bar and restaurant with three trading areas that
cater for 84. There is also a well equipped commercial kitchen and two
bedroom owners accommodation.
The inn was sold off an asking price of £825,000 for the freehold
interest.
