New recruit
Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has appointed Harry Goldsmid to the office agency department of its Bristol office.
Harry joins LSH after three years at King Sturge where he worked in retail agency, office agency, corporate real estate and specialist valuations.

CBRE climbs the ranks in Business Week
CB Richard Ellis Group Inc has been named in BusinessWeek 50 – the publication’s list of best performers across all industries – for the second straight year. BusinessWeek selects 50 best-in-class companies that the magazine says represent the star performers in each of the ten sectors that make up the S&P 500. CBRE was ranked #11 on the 2008 BusinessWeek 50, up from 16th place last year.

New partner
Palmer Snell Fulfords in Yeovil have announced that Jeff White has joined the partnership.
Jeff has 24 years of experienced as a chartered surveyor, mainly in the provision of residential surveys and valuations for private and corporate clients.

Charity ride
A team of eight cyclists from Colliers CRE in Bristol is about to ride across some of Northern Ireland’s most gruelling countryside.
The team, headed by Stephen Lipfriend, will ride 170 miles from Belfast to Bundoran on the west coast in County Donegal over three days in June.
Stephen will be joined on the trip by Katie Bapty, Sarah Huthwaite, Gianni Illari, Ben Jones, Steve Lane, Louise Dane and Nicola Perry.
The team will be raising funds for Cancer Research, the North West Children’s Support Group and the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals.
