Retail News and Deals

Bristol
The Budgens Store on Queen Charlotte Street in Bristol has been sold to the convenience retail group, One Stop, through the Bristol office of Christie & Co.
The business was sold as a going concern and trades as a convenience store. The property itself comprises refitted shop premises, with storage and staff facilities to the rear, which extend to approx 1,700 sq ft and were refitted and re-branded as Budgens in 2005. A leasehold asking price of £325,000 was sought for the business and it was sold for an undisclosed sum.

Bodmin
On behalf of private clients, Miller Commercial has sold a retail unit in Bodmin.
For years, the property was occupied by Shoefayre; however, following the end of their lease, the freeholder decided to sell the property with vacant possession. Benefiting from planning consent to develop the upper floors into three flats and retail a ground floor retail unit, the property was sold off a guide price of £250,000 to a local developer.
