Dartmouth
The New Angel Rooms on Victoria Road in Dartmouth, which was previously owned by John and Kim Burton Race, has been sold through the Exeter office of Christie & Co.
A three-story end of terrace property, the guest house has been subject to complete renovation over the past two years and comprises six en-suite letting bedrooms, a resident’s lounge, a 12-cover breakfast room and a domestic kitchen.
The purchaser is Internet entrepreneur Clive Jacobs, who is the chief executive of Holiday Autos and the vice-chairman of lastminute.com.
An asking price of £695,000 was sought for the freehold interest of the New Angel Rooms, but the actual sale price was not disclosed.

Falmouth
Acting on behalf of the National Trust, Scott Burridge Commercial has let the Tea House at Glendurgan Gardens, Mawnan Smith, near Falmouth.
A new five-year lease has been granted to Harriet Ells, who is a former employee at the Tea House. The Tea House comprises a 70.04 sq m covered seating area with exterior seating providing 100+ covers in total, kitchen and store.
A new lease was granted at a rental of £15,000 pax. The premium paid was undisclosed.

Dartmouth
Cowling Commercial have sold The Forces Tavern which is located just five miles from Dartmouth. The property is freehold and situated on the main arterial road leading into Dartmouth. There is an allocation for owners accommodation, as well as some three en-suite bedrooms which would be brought into being let and in this location should prove to be viable. The asking price was OIRO £419,950.
