Harlequin Office Park, Bristol

Shepherd Developments and Bell Hammer have announced plans to bring forward development of their eight acre site in Bristol’s northern fringe, following their recent planning approval.
The site known as Harlequin Office Park (formerly Viceroy Gate), is at the gateway to Emersons Green, close to the city’s new science park. The proposed development will comprise an office park of approx 130,000 sq ft.
Detailed planning consent has recently been granted for development of phase 1 and work is expected to start shortly. Phase 1 will be developed on a speculative basis comprising of three buildings on a prominent corner site fronting the Avon Ring Road. The buildings will vary in size from 10,000 sq ft to 26,000 sq ft and are scheduled for completion next year.
Joint agents for the scheme are King Sturge and DTZ.

Taunton
Project Taunton, the regeneration of Taunton’s town centre, has a public open day on Thursday 3 April at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton
On display are details of the developments taking place in the town centre over the coming years with members of the Project Taunton team and its partners on hand to answer questions.
The regeneration of Taunton will create major changes across the town centre, including:
- A new commercial area with a mix of office and residential developments at Firepool, the area near the train station. A developer for this is set to be appointed towards the end of May.
- Expansion of the ground and stands at Somerset County Cricket Club has already started and improved cultural facilities will include developments at the Museum of Somerset and the Brewhouse Theatre.
- Better shops and improved public transport are the focus of a new retail centre for the Old Market Centre.
- Extensive improvements to the riverside areas of town will include new housing, landscaped green areas and safe walkways.
