New research published by Creditsafe reveals that British businesses are owed £128bn in late payments. Three quarters of British construction companies are owed monies that have not been paid within the period set out in their terms and conditions and are owed

on average around £22,000.
Almost one-in-five companies are owned monies that have been outstanding for over a month. Based on the average monies outstanding, these firms are losing out on interest payments of £1,341 a month.
