Auctions News and Deals

59 Lots
Savills sold £34m in its October auction, reflecting its second largest commercial result since the team was established in 2005.
The sale was held in The Ballroom, Claridge’s Hotel, Brook Street, London on Monday 22 October 2007 and offered 59 lots, of which 36 sold, achieving an overall success rate in excess of 61%.
James Cannon, head of commercial auction, says: “The private

investor is still showing a commitment to buy at low yields, indicating they remain confident that rental growth will be achieved over a five to ten year period. With recent public uncertainty in the performance of other investment media, it is encouraging to see investors recognising the strength of direct property investment in medium to long-term.”
