David McLean Developments, in a joint venture with south west RDA, has unveiled the new name for its £75m St Austell town centre scheme. White River Place will breath new life into Cornwall’s largest town and already over 50% high profile lettings have been secured.
New Look and Peacocks have taken 1,350 sq m and 774 sq m (14,520 and 8,330 sq ft) respectively at the scheme. Further lettings include Starbucks coffee housing leasing 150 sq m (1,600 sq ft), HboS taking 336 sq m (3,616 sq ft), Wilkinsons occupying 3,769 sq m (40,550 sq ft), as well as a 550-space car park by Apcoa. The 14,400 sq m (155,000 sq ft) mixed-use scheme will also house a major four-screen, 615- seat cinema, as well as 69 apartments.
Completion of the scheme is scheduled to be by autumn of 2009.
