The Cardiff Arms, Hirwaun
Hirwaun
The Cardiff Arms freehouse in the High Street of Hirwaun, near Aberdare, is set to reopen soon under new ownership following extensive refurbishment, reports the Bristol office of Christie & Co.
Julian and Annie Barfield purchased the closed freehouse in August of this year through Christie & Co and intend to re-establish the business. Built as a hotel in the 19th Century, the Cardiff Arms is a three-storey property comprising a large open plan bar, five-bedroom owner’s accommodation and an enclosed trade patio area to the rear.
The Cardiff Arms was sold for an undisclosed figure after Christie & Co sought £244,950 for the freehold interest.
