Swansea BDP’s masterplan has formed the basis for a successful bid by developers Hammerson and Urban Splash for a 30-acre retail-led scheme in the centre of Swansea. The scheme will provide over 60,000 sq m of new retail space. It will also provide 1,000 new apartments, hotels, new leisure and conference facilities and parking for 3,000 cars. The scheme also provides six acres of public space. The team will be working with The County and City of Swansea over the next 18 months towards gaining planning consent for the scheme.year lease. It comprises 1,521 sq ft and has been taken by NPSA.
