Cardiff Atkins is doubling its presence in Cardiff, having taken 20,000 sq ft of refurbished office space on the third and fourth floors of Longcross Court, Newport Road, Cardiff. Represented by Lambert Smith Hampton, Atkins, with subsidiary company Faithful+Gould, agreed to take a new 10-year lease on the entire two floors subject to the landlord, ING UK Real Estate Income		Trust (‘IRET’), delivering a comprehensive refurbishment programme. LSH negotiated the £2m refurbishment of the six-storey building, which was constructed in 1980. The refurbishment began in June 2007. ING Real Estate Investment Management (ING REIM), IRET’s property adviser, has now formally appointed Lambert Smith Hampton and Fletcher Morgan to market the building.
