Newport Success
The ongoing success of Newport’s regeneration has seen it ranked seventh in the UK in a new table showing the predicted economic strength of cities.
The latest Regional Planning report by Experian Business Strategies, the global economic forecasting group, puts Newport among the likes of Inner London, Reading and Edinburgh, at the very top of the list of towns and cities to show robust economic growth between now and
2020.
Also in the top ten are Cardiff and Bristol, which makes Newport an even more significant location for investment as it sits midway between the two – within 10 miles of the fifth highest (Cardiff) and 20 miles of the tenth highest (Bristol).
In ranking Newport in seventh place, the city is placed above Outer London, Birmingham, Nottingham and Leeds.
