Rocking Out
Plymouth buildings Rok are helping young rockers perfect their performance skills by making a donation to Saltash-based music and youth project Livewire.
Rok employees visited Livewire to present the cash which was raised through a charity raffle and auction by Rok at its Christmas Ball.

Manager
The southwest office of Rydon Construction has announced that it is further expanding its senior team with the appointment of Bob Martini as its new construction manager for the region. Bob joins from Morgan Ashurst where he was business manager responsible for new business in the West.

Partner
Andrew Baines has joined Ashfords as a partner in its litigation practice. Based in Bristol but with a national remit, Andrew will bring his extensive property and commercial litigation experience to bear in the role. He joins from Burges Salmon where he has been since graduating in 1994.

Cycle Challenge
The Bristol office of CB Richard Ellis has taken part in a nationwide fundraising challenge to raise money for local charities – the Bristol office has elected to support Children’s Hospice South West.
Part of CBRE Cares, the event, known as the Hot Heels Challenge, required teams across the country to ‘virtually’ ride the entire distance between all CBRE’s UK offices. The Bristol office was challenged to cycle to Southampton – a distance of 117km.
Eight people took part in the challenge, which was supported by the Fitness First Gym in Bristol. The riders each cycled for 30 minutes and completed an average of 17.7km, thereby comfortably exceeding the distance required.
All the cyclists raised sponsorship, which will be matched by CBRE’s Charitable Trust and hope to present a cheque to the Children’s Hospice South West for over £500.
