Time nearly up to enter Co-operative property awards 20th June 2012

The deadline is looming for entries to The Co-operative Group’s second annual Property Awards 2012 in aid of the NSPCC.

Suppliers and partners to the business have until Monday 2 July, to submit their entries to the awards, which were launched in 2011 to recognise their support and reward the winners for their specific contributions.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and charity dinner being held at The Point at Lancashire Cricket Club on Tuesday 16 October.

There are ten award categories, which are:
· Environmental Initiative
· Community Champion
· Innovation
· Outstanding Organisation of the Year
· Outstanding Individual Contribution of the Year
· Store Investment/Maintenance Supplier of the Year
· Refrigeration Supplier of the Year
· Environmental, Cleaning and Waste Supplier of the Year
· Direct Supplier of the Year
· Consultancy of the Year

More than 650 guests attended last year’s inaugural Property Awards and Charity Dinner, which were hosted by comedian John Bishop and TV presenter Vernon Kay and raised more than £200,000 for charity.

Event organiser Paul Mansell, The Co-operative Group’s Senior Asset Planning Manager, said: “Time is running out for suppliers and partners to the business to get their entries in to The Co-operative’s Property Awards, which promises to be a bigger event than last year’s and will also raise a lot of money for a very worthwhile cause.

“We work with a lot of outstanding organisations and we urge as many as possible to enter these awards, which recognise and reward their hard work and celebrate the achievements we have all made together.”
