Opus Land is to build the first Midlands-based facility for Storagebase Self Storage, as it broadens its UK coverage.
A planning application has been submitted seeking approval for work to begin on the £5 million, 112,000 sq ft bespoke design and build warehouse, adjacent to Opus Blueprint at junction 9 of M6 at Wednesbury. Work is due to begin in November, with completion scheduled for June 2013.
Despite an inclement economic climate, demand is rising for Storagebase’s services from both the home and business markets necessitating an expansion in both the company’s coverage and the number of locations that it offers.
Opus Land Development Director, Gareth Williams said: “We are delighted to be working with Storagebase to develop a successful formula, which will provide a blueprint for additional stores throughout the West Midlands and beyond.”
