New planning appointments at Fisher German29th August 2012

A strong demand for planning services has prompted Fisher German chartered surveyors to expand its planning team to eight professional planners, providing greater service provision and managing a significant increase in workload.

Fisher German’s planning team based in the Ashby de la Zouch office, has appointed Chartered Town Planner James Bellis and graduate planner Leo Cunningham-Bailey to meet a rapid growth in demand for their services.

Following his graduation from the University of Newcastle, James began his career at North Tyneside Council, becoming a Chartered Town Planner in February 2012. His new role at Fisher German will focus on renewable energy, developments and land promotion.

Graduate planner Leo Cunningham-Bailey joins Fisher German following his recent graduation from the University of Sheffield with a Masters in Planning. Leo will be assisting the team in a variety of areas including the Severn Trent Water contract while also providing support to Associate Planner Alan Hardwick in servicing Fisher German’s offices in Newark and Retford.

Kay Davies, head of planning at Fisher German, said: “We are delighted to welcome James and Leo to the team. James will bring a range of expertise to the firm, which he has developed over the past few years, whereas Leo will be joining a well established team where he will be able to develop his experience in a professional planning environment.”

When not at work, both James and Leo are keen sportsmen. James is an avid mountain biker and at University captained his Canoe Polo Team. Leo also enjoys rowing, being a member of Leicester Rowing Club.
