Kendall Kingscott cycle challenge for Cancer Research UK24th September 2012

The employees of building surveying and architecture practice Kendall Kingscott, whose head office is in Stoke Gifford, Bristol, are taking on the challenge of cycling 400 miles in four days between the company’s four offices to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Leaving the Bristol office on Friday 21 September and cycling to Teddington on day one, the team will then head to Bournemouth on day two, on to Exeter on day three before returning to Bristol on day four.

The team of 17 decided to attempt the challenge following the loss of a colleague, Vic Wakeman, at the beginning of 2012.

Managing Director Jon Press said: ‘We wanted to do something to remember Vic and as 2012 is also the 50th year since Kendall Kingscott was established, a trip linking all our offices seemed an appropriate way to do this. We are hoping to raise in excess of £5000 to support the great work that Cancer Research UK does, but also anticipate having fun along the way, hopefully having time to take in the scenery and not having too many sore muscles by the end of the journey."
