DTZ Bristol, a UGL company has secured a letting to GL Hearn at Queen Square house on behalf of CBRE Investors.
GL Hearn, a multi-skilled property consultancy with a nationwide network of offices in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Bath, Sunderland and Southampton, has taken a suite that comprises 2,468 sq ft of open plan office space. The company is relocating its Bath office to Bristol.
Situated on the eastern end of Queen Square, Queen Square House is a character office building, laid out over five floors, which include the ground level and four upper floors. Suites are available in the building from 230 sq ft – 3,908 sq ft.
Bill Russell of G L Hearn Property Consultancy, said: “The relocation from Bath will allow our team to provide our clients with a better service. Bristol is widely regarded as the business capital of the south west and our decision to relocate to the city was largely centred on our need to have a more prominent presence in the region. From our new base in Queen Square we will be better equipped to provide the very best property consultancy services to our existing clients as well as being in a prime location to support our business growth plans.
“Having considered a variety of options in the area Queen Square House came out a clear winner. The open plan space with the prestigious Queen Square address and the benefit of a comprehensive refurbishment ticked all the boxes.”
Andy Smith, Surveyor at DTZ in Bristol, said: “We are delighted to welcome GL Hearn to the building. The market for this type of accommodation in this location is very competitive. The decision to spend money on a building refurbishment in the current economic climate is always a difficult one but in this instance it has paid dividends. Since the refurbishment we have had some real success at the building with the letting to GL Hearn and a surge in viewings resulting in a further 1,000 sq ft now under offer via our joint agents Hartnell Taylor Cook”.
