Samuel James Engineering is gearing up for expansion after Mather Jamie helped oversee the quick sale of its existing factory space in one of Leicester’s prime industrial trading estates.
The commercial property specialist secured a buyer for the 3,514 ft² unit at the Troon Industrial Estate, on Cannock Street.
Samuel James, which specialises in engineering work for the rail industry, has relocated to a larger, purpose-built workshop in order to support growing business.
Alex Reid, of Mather Jamie, comments: “Cannock Street is among one of the city’s most sought-after industrial estates and its location has been a major draw for occupiers as it benefits from superb access to Leicester’s northern ring road and the A46 Western Bypass, as well as quick links to the M1.
“The single storey, semi-detached factory and workshop premises have been well-maintained and are well-suited to businesses needing quality workshop, storage and office accommodation.
“The facilities and their location allowed us to maximise interest in the site and from the first day of marketing we received enquiries from potential buyers, which allowed us to secure the best possible price for our client.
Kim Brown, owner of Samuel James Engineering Ltd, said: “We took the decision to sell the Cannock Street workshop in order to move into purpose-built premises in Beaumont Leys, after outgrowing our existing space.
“We have increased our workshop space from 3,514 ft² to 8,000 ft² to accommodate new business and will be creating new jobs as a result of this expansion.
