Supermarket chain Sainsbury’s has become the first retailer to commit to opening a store at Taylor Wimpey’s new Crookham Park community in Church Crookham, Fleet, Hampshire.
A Sainsbury’s Local convenience store is scheduled to open in autumn 2013 at the development, in a move that is expected to create up to 25 jobs for local people.
The store will stock a wide range of Sainsbury’s products, providing customers with a handy opportunity to top up their weekly shop. A 40-space car park will serve the convenience shop, plus any future stores which open at Crookham Park’s local shopping centre.
A spokesperson for Sainsbury’s said: “We are excited at the prospect of our new convenience shop at Crookham Park. The new development will provide a vibrant community, which we look forward to being part of.”
The deal to bring Sainsbury’s to Crookham Park was overseen by real estate advisors Vail Williams, acting on behalf of Taylor Wimpey.
