Barratt Mercia is investing in local talent with ten new trainees joining the ranks at its Bluebell development in Camp Hill, Nuneaton.
Tom Aspinal (15), Steven Biddle (16), Jordan Blount-Hunt (16), Kieran Downes (16), Tom Fyfe (15), Daniel Greenway (15), Kyle Kulick (15), Danny McGill (15), Connor Richardson (16) and Vincent Moss (16) have all begun to learn construction trades at Bluebell.
The trainees spend one day on site at Bluebell and Camp Hill Opportunities Centre, where they are all enrolled in the Construction Award Multiskills course, and four days studying at school at Nuneaton Academy and Hartshill School.
Managing Director at Barratt Mercia, John Fitzgerald, who started his own career in the industry as a carpenter, said, “We are delighted to welcome these youngsters to our Bluebell development in Camp Hill.
“Traineeships combine on the job experience with classroom based learning and are one of the most effective ways to build construction skills for the future and get to grips with working life.”
