Bristol & Bath Science Park lets 8,680 sq ft to CFMS21st June 2013

Bristol & Bath Science Park has let out 8,680 sq ft of its Grow-On Centre to CFMS, which is used by companies including Rolls Royce and Airbus.

The centre provides access to high performance computing, which enables organisations to predict and analyse the behaviour of new systems and products under development using advanced simulation tools.

CFMS provide a neutral area for larger and smaller companies to collaborate and use these tools to examine their technologies while in the design phase, delivering time and cost savings.

It was born out of a collaborative project supported by major UK players in the aeronautical, defence and automotive industries.

Eur Ing Nick Buckland OBE, CFMS Chairman, said: “CFMS is delighted to be joining the Bristol and Bath Science Park community. As a location it provides an ideal base where we will unify and grow a national community of individuals and organisations around modelling and simulation technology and professional practice.

“The combination of our new location and the purpose built facilities will enable us to focus on the promotion and furthering of a national agenda for modelling and simulation, allowing us to drive its growth and use into new industrial sectors leading to sustainable economic development.”

CFMS is located on the ground floor of the Park’s two-storey Grow-On Centre.
