In an off-market deal brokered by property advisers Christie + Co, South Cary House has been sold for an undisclosed sum to Avon Care Homes.
South Cary House is a Grade II Listed Georgian property used as a care home and registered for 23 residents, in the village of Castle Cary, Somerset.
The new owner, Cristina Bila of Avon Care Homes said: "South Cary House is our fifth care home and its acquisition is a perfect fit for Avon Care Homes as it complements the nearby Wells Care Home, Sutton Veny and Bybrook House."
Rob Kinsman, Regional Director of Christie + Co in the South West division, said: "After 23 years of ownership, Mr and Mrs Garden wanted a discreet, off-market sale to minimise any adverse impact on the care home and its residents. We have been working with Cristina Bila for many years and thought that South Cary House would be a natural addition to her portfolio, which has proved to be the case. We are really pleased to be part of her continued expansion and wish her every success."
