Willis Commercial sells lease on former India Jane premises in Wimborne to interiors retailer Almondburys 16th September 2013

Commercial property agency Willis Commercial has sold the lease on the former India Jane premises at 24 High Street, Wimborne, Dorset, to interiors and lifestyle retailer Almondburys, adding to the company's existing store in Sherborne.

The property, located opposite Crew Clothing, provides retail accommodation of 1,970 sq ft (183 sq m) arranged over ground and first floors together with ancillary space of 872 sq ft (82 sq m) at second floor level.

Almondburys, who plan further expansion in the south west, will take over the residue of a ten-year lease dating from September 2009 at a rent of £35,000 per annum, exclusive.

Wimborne continues to prove a popular destination for retailers. Notable new arrivals in the town include Waitrose, Fat Face, Rohan, Crew Clothing, Phase Eight, Moshulu and Wetherspoons.

The town has also attracted a number of quality independent retailers and restaurateurs. The latter includes Number 9 (of West Borough) who have recently also launched Number 9 on The Green from the former Crichel Bakery premises in Cook Row & The Tickled Pig ( also in West Borough) who too plan further expansion with a deli/coffee operation proposed for Wimborne Square. Willis Commercial has also placed 11 West Borough under offer to an experienced Tap House operator.

Wimborne has also caught the eye of a number of large name restaurant/café operators who seek representation in the town.
