Goadsby Hotel & Leisure sells three hotel businesses in Bournemouth10th October 2013

Goadsby Hotel & Leisure sells three hotel businesses in BournemouthThe Hotels and Leisure Division of Goadsby has sold three diverse hotel businesses in the Bournemouth area for a combined guide price of £1.8 million.

The Sandy Bay Guest House, located between the shops and pier at Boscombe, operating as a traditional B & B, has been purchased by a local first time buyer.

A London professional relocating to the south coast has purchased the award winning Living Room at Alum Chine, which is trading as an up-market coffee lounge and café.

On the renowned West Cliff in the very heart of Bournemouth the 20 bedroom Kings Langley Hotel has just been acquired by an overseas purchaser.

Divisional Director, Ian Palmer, said: “It is encouraging that leisure sales are still being achieved and this is likely to increase if the widely reported improvement in the residential market continues. The industry has ridden out the recession and has had a successful summer season. However, with lending institutions seemingly determined not to acknowledge this, the recovery in this property sector is still facing strong headwinds."
