LGP secures trio of commercial property lettings in Trowbridge23rd October 2013

Legal & General Property secures trio of commercial property lettings in TrowbridgeLegal & General Property (LGP) has secured three more commercial property lettings at its Castle Place Shopping Centre in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.

Represented by property consultancy Alder King, LGP has secured lettings to three independent retailers, further strengthening the diversity of the Centre’s retail line-up and leaving only one unit remaining available.

Unit 8, which provides 904 sq ft of ground floor space, has been let to Emboss and Bead, a craft business selling paper and bead craft equipment and supplies. Run by two local businesswomen who each previously established independent craft businesses from market stalls, the new venture will allow them to offer an expanded product range and space to host craft skills workshops.

Unit 26 has been let to independent retailer Bill Ellis, who is expanding from a kiosk within the centre to open his second shop which will trade as Bilbo’s Bags. Mr Ellis has taken a new lease on the 896 sq ft unit.

The third letting is of Kiosk 2, which has been taken by Mobile Booth, offering mobile phone accessories.

Tim Russell, Senior Asset Manager at Legal & General Property, said: "Maintaining our focus on supporting our existing tenant base, predominantly made up of enterprising independent local retailers, and helping them to grow their businesses, this latest spate of lettings at Castle Place demonstrates the success of the recent refurbishment.

“With the nearby St Stephens Place leisure development (also owned by LGP) now beginning to draw to an exciting conclusion, we believe that the town centre is entering into a new phase of energy and variety.”
