Santia buys head office property freehold near Cardiff28th October 2013

Santia acquires property freehold of its Welsh HQSantia Consulting Ltd has completed a deal to buy the property freehold of its head office near Cardiff.

The health, safety and environmental risk management consultancy moved into Santia House, the former Companies House building, in September 2011 and following two years of encouraging growth, both in the UK and abroad, Santia is taking ownership of the Parc Nantgarw property.

The funding package for the property acquisition was provided in combination from HSBC’s Cardiff and South East Wales Commercial Centre, Finance Wales and a grant from the Welsh Assembly Government.

HSBC Cardiff and South East Wales Area Commercial Director Roger Pratt said: “We are pleased to have supported Santia’s purchase of this strategically important property, which offers it both security and the capacity to expand. HSBC is keen to work with Welsh businesses to achieve their goals and this deal is further demonstration of our commitment.”

The Welsh Assembly Government granted interest free business finance to Santia for the purposes of enabling them to safeguard and create jobs at the company’s headquarters at Parc Nantgarw, Treforest.

Santia previously occupied these premises as sub tenants under a short term sublease and the opportunity to purchase the property means that the company now has a permanent home with room to grow.

Santia’s Chief Executive, Jane Hext said “Taking ownership of Santia House is a real testament to the hard work and effort that everyone at Santia has made in making our business a success. We are totally committed to staying in South Wales and growing our business from here. We are grateful for the support we have had from our investors, HSBC, Finance Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government which demonstrates the confidence they have in our business and our future.”
