A new floristry business, Blossoms of Portsmouth, has taken a three-year lease for an annual rent of £11,000 per annum at 224b Havant Road, Drayton in Portsmouth.
The letting was arranged by property agents Hellier Langston, who acted on behalf of the landlord. They are also managing the parade of shops where Blossoms will be trading from. Other tenants include a newsagents, hairdressers, a bridal wear shop and Rowans Hospice..
Laura Adams and Sarah Bailey, who have over 20 years experience in floristry between them, said: "We chose Drayton to open our floristry shop as it still has the feel of a village and is full of independent shops like us. As soon as we saw 224b we knew it would be perfect. It was very important for us to be open by Christmas and Hellier Langston worked hard to make it happen. From the first viewing to our opening day was only six weeks. We couldn't have asked for a better start, the local community are so friendly and have made us feel very welcome. With the support of our friends and family our little shop is thriving."
