An open day for estate agent apprentices is being held in Bournemouth on the morning of Wednesday 22 January. The event is being organised by the Countrywide group of estate agents in partnership with national training and apprenticeship provider Positive Outcome and young people who are interested in a property career are being encourage to apply for an invitation to attend.
Countrywide and Positive Outcomes, who have been working closely together to train young people interested in property on Sales for Residential Property apprenticeships, are now offering nine full time apprenticeships in the Solent region – one at each of Countrywide’s branches which are in Chandlers Ford, Bournemouth city centre, Charminster, Boscombe, Westbourne, Winton, Bridport, Chard and Wincanton.
Positive Outcomes CEO Chris Longmate is keen to encourage as many young people as possible to apply for one of these apprenticeships to be in with the chance of being invited to the event. Mr Longmate said: “This event is all about offering advice to young people about these particular apprenticeships in the estate agency profession.
“Positive Outcomes will do a presentation to candidates about apprenticeships and how this works with Countrywide, which will be followed by a presentation from two previous apprentices and a Countrywide branch manager.
“Then we will interview the young people who attend one by one and by the end of the day we will have chosen the nine successful candidates who will be offered the jobs. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to first of all get some experience of the property sector, but most importantly to possibly secure a career path.”

They will be required to send over a CV and will undertake a simple telephone interview. Shortlisted candidates from this process will be invited to the Open Day for their face to face interviews.
