Leicestershire commercial property specialist Andrew and Ashwell has negotiated the sale of 50 Oswin Road in West Leicester to Universal Textiles, which is moving across the city from Syston.
The 1.8-acre site, 2.5 miles from Leicester, was formerly owned by J and R Camping, which has relocated to an adjacent unit along Oswin Road. The company had the unit constructed during the late 1980s and had remained in occupation until the recent sale.
Located on the north side of the main A47 Hinckley Road, a main arterial route from Leicester, the site is both prominent and convenient for the Leicester ring road and motorway connections.
The established two-storey retail warehouse, sales and storage unit is on a triangular site visible from the main road. The building provides almost 27,000 sq ft of space and is unusual in featuring two storeys, which, due to the site’s topography, are both accessible at ground floor level.
Mike Allwood of Andrew and Ashwell said the sale of the unit was another firm pointer of improvement for commercial property movement in Leicestershire.
