Construction starts on retail property expansion at Chatham Maritime in Kent13th March 2014

The first phase of expansion work for retail premises has started at the Dockside Outlet Shopping Centre at Chatham Maritime in Kent. 

The Range, which has recently signed a new 15 year lease, is the first to begin construction with an extension that will increase floor space to 65,000 sq ft. The work, which is set to take around 12 weeks, will include a two floor extension enabling The Range to increase its product choice.

The expansion is part of Dockside’s wider plans to grow the on-site retail offering to provide a better shopping experience for customers.

Anthony Sutton, Dockside Centre Manager said, “This expansion marks the beginning of a really exciting time for Dockside. 2013 was a great year for us in terms of both footfall and sales with an increase of 3.2 per cent and 1.6 per cent respectively, so we’re really looking forward to revealing these changes to our customers.”
