Bristol commercial property agents Colliers International are hoping to wave a magic wand and find a new tenant for the theatrically designed St Vincent's Works building near Temple Meads.
The 19th Century Grade II* listed property, which boasts a facade not dissimilar to a Disney fairytale castle, was originally built as the headquarters of the iron and steel company John Lysaght and Co. Since then it has been home to renewable energy leaders Garrad Hassan, now part of DNV GL, who are relocating to new, larger premises.
National offices director James Preece from Colliers International, said: “This is an amazing office building that is configured over two levels and has an area of 7,573 sq ft.
“It is in a great location with the added bonus of exceptional parking. Being right at the heart of the new creative sector what we really need is the Bristol equivalent of The Walt Disney Corporation."
Preece believes that with its long history and impressive features, there is no other building like St Vincent's Works in Bristol or the West Country.
Despite its age, St Vincent's offers modern conveniences and specifications such as parking for 34 cars, built-in network cabling, kitchen and shower facilities and the added bonus of being situated in Bristol's Enterprise Zone, which provides companies relocating to the are with a number of incentives.
