The upper floor of the former Allied Carpets building at 294-310 High Street in West Bromwich has been let to gym operator KSS Leisure on a ten-year lease.
Property consultants Bond Wolfe who arranged the letting said that the first floor (12,500 sq ft) had been vacant for a number of years and demonstrated increased retail market activity in West Bromwich. They were instructed on the vacant building after Allied Carpets went into administration in 2012.
Bond Wolfe managing partner James Mattin said: “That can be partly attributed to new confidence in the town following the successful implementation of the Tesco-led New Square Development.”
The ground floor was divided into four separate units, two of which have been let to Furniture Kingdom and estate agents Samuel & Co, with one of the two remaining now under offer.
