Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7pm, and local resident Cathy Toal shared her experience, stating, “I got a call at about 7pm about the fire. When I got here, the place was cordoned off and the fire service were here already.” Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.

Meanwhile, in a heartwarming display of community spirit, Sean Phelps and Jonny Towers have completed an impressive 3,200-mile rowing journey from Lanzarote to Antigua. Sean expressed his motivation for the challenge, saying, “I think it’s an amazing thing to do and I’ve watched a few events and I want to just make my family proud of that, proud of their dad and husband.” Jonny added, “To support the two great charities we’re doing it for – Care After Combat and Samaritans – we’ve both lost friends through mental health problems and suicide.”
