Newcastle United has announced a landmark £6 million-a-year sponsorship deal with KNOX Hydration, set to transform the club’s training ground and kits. This three-year agreement, totaling £18 million, will see KNOX Hydration’s branding featured prominently on the shirt sleeves of Newcastle’s training kits, starting July 1, 2026.

The Darsley Park training ground will be officially renamed The KNOX, marking a significant milestone as this is Newcastle’s first-ever training ground and training-kit sleeve sponsorship deal. Chief Executive David Hopkinson expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome KNOX Hydration as a world-class partner.” He emphasized that this collaboration is not merely a branding exercise but a performance-led partnership that aims to support the community.

KNOX Hydration, a South African sports drinks company, is not affiliated with Newcastle’s majority owners, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). The partnership represents a strategic move to enhance Newcastle’s commercial revenue, which surged by 44% to £120.1 million for the 2024-25 financial year, with a total turnover of £335.3 million.

John Schaefer from KNOX Hydration echoed the sentiment, stating, “Just as importantly, the club’s dedicated fan base and the strong sense of community that surrounds Newcastle United make this partnership especially meaningful.” He added, “We’re excited to grow together and be part of that journey both on and off the pitch.”

As Newcastle United continues to seek a front-of-training-wear sponsor, this partnership with KNOX Hydration is seen as a significant step in the club’s strategy to boost its commercial footprint.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding future collaborations or additional sponsorships, but the excitement surrounding this new venture is palpable among fans and stakeholders alike.
