What Happened
Women in Property (WiP) has announced the appointment of Danielle Miller as the new chair for its Central Scotland branch for the term 2026-27. Miller, who serves as the associate director for stakeholder engagement at Built Environment – Smarter Transformation (BE-ST), will assume her role in March 2026, succeeding the current leadership.
Why It Matters
Miller’s leadership is significant as she aims to enhance gender parity within the built environment sector. In her statement, she expressed her commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive industry, emphasizing the importance of engaging male allies in this initiative. The Central Scotland committee, composed entirely of member volunteers, will continue to support core initiatives such as Schools Outreach, Inclusion, and Mentoring programs, which are vital for promoting diversity in the industry.
What’s Next
Under Miller’s guidance, the committee plans to focus on creating a more inclusive environment, particularly by encouraging male colleagues to actively participate in gender balance efforts. The upcoming year will see a series of events aimed at promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration and sharing innovative ideas through CPD-accredited programs.
