THE Nottingham office of Eversheds has added two new senior associates to its property team.
Following on from the recent appointment of four new solicitors at the Nottingham office, the firm has now appointed Ben Acheson and Vik Moothia as senior associates.
Ben Acheson, 34, joins the firm from the London office of international law firm Macfarlanes, where he worked within the development and investment group of the commercial property department. Ben spent ten years with the firm where he handled a broad range of commercial property work, including investment sales and purchases, landlord and tenant and development work.
Ben will focus on attracting new clients to the East Midlands market. He said: “Eversheds is the stand out firm in the region in terms of national reach and the services it offers. The past few years have been a challenge for the property industry and we are now looking to grow the team back to what it was.”
Vik Moothia, 35, joins Eversheds from Nottingham-based firm Massers where he was a partner and headed the commercial property team. Vik said: “Eversheds is unique in the East Midlands because of its industry sector specialisms and the international offering available through its Nottingham office.
James Fry, senior office partner for Eversheds in Nottingham said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome Ben and Vik to the team. With their combined experience and contacts, I am confident that they will give the property team a real boost.”
