Work is underway on a prominent development site off Chartwell Drive, Wigston, let by Leicester commercial property specialist Andrew and Ashwell.
Builders’ merchant Travis Perkins, which is expanding its branches across Leicestershire, is set to be the new occupier, with a 10,000 sq ft warehouse and office building currently under construction.
Located on the corner of West Avenue and Chartwell Drive, the land is designated for employment, providing substantial scope for development. The site is in a long-established industrial location four miles south of Leicester, with easy access to the outer distributor road (A563) linking to the M1/M69 motorways.
The overall plot is approximately 1.25 acres and is mainly rectangular in shape. The location, configuration and flexibility of the site, which has access points off both West Avenue and Chartwell Drive, make it readily adaptable for Travis Perkins requirements.
