A £2million office development in Chippenham, built by Summerfield Developments, has officially opened its doors to its new occupants, IT services provider Bechtle Direct, who have signed a ten-year lease to run their British operations from the site.
Work began in October 2011 on Turnpike House, on Chippenham’s Methuen Park Estate, and the ten-year lease for the 8,200 sq ft building with Bechtle Direct was secured prior to building work beginning.
Ben Trickey, Senior Development Surveyor at Summerfield, said: “We worked directly alongside our clients Bechtle to deliver a bespoke build, developing an office space that fitted their specifications entirely. Working with them, we slightly reduced the size of the office and delivered their internal fit-out for them.
"Turnpike House has been completely designed with the new occupants in mind, ensuring that the accommodation delivers a customer facing office for Bechtle’s clients to meet and receive training.”
Bechtle Direct is the UK arm of Bechtle AG, a German information technology services company.
James Gregory of Alder King in Swindon acted for Summerfield and John Mulholland of Jones Lang LaSalle's Bath office is the joint agent. Karen Chapman of Druces acted for Summerfield on the legals.
