Bouygues Development, represented by Primary Care Surveyors, has signed a pre-let of a two-storey medical centre to The Stoneham Lane Surgery. The development also includes four retail units on the ground floor, as well as accommodation for 360 students which has been let to the University of Southampton.
The 7,430.3 sq ft (690.3 sq m) property has been taken on a 22-year lease at an annual rent of £124,914.
At the same time Lloyds Pharmacy has taken a 22-year lease on an adjoining 1,615 sq ft (150 sq m) retail unit at an annual rent of £35,000 per annum. A premium of £100,000 was paid.
Adam Thompson of Primary Care Surveyors said: “The link between doctors and pharmacists is important in the efficient provision of primary healthcare and these two transactions will provide patients of the practice a high level of service.”
The Stoneham Surgery was represented by Aitchison Raffety. Lloyds Pharmacy was unrepresented.
