Tesco Stores has leased the last remaining space at Guardian House in West Bromwich through Bond Wolfe.
The 4,500 sq ft suite has been taken as the supermarket giant prepares to train new staff for the New Square development that has been constructed next door.
James Mattin, Bond Wolfe managing partner, said: “Obviously Tesco had a shopping list of what they wanted and we were very pleased to ring up a deal.
“Guardian House is right on the doorstep of New Square, which is due to open in the autumn, so staff can be trained while at the same time familiarising themselves with the area in which they will be working.”
The shopping and leisure destination forms part of one of the largest regeneration programmes in the UK.
Totaling 248,000 sq ft of retail space, New Square is anchored by a 139,000 sq ft Tesco Extra store. It has already attracted key retailers including Next, JD Sports, Bank, Outfit and Primark, and in addition will offer a range of high street shops, cafes and restaurants.
Tesco follows recruitment group Pertemps into Guardian House, which is also occupied by Challinors Solicitors.
