Sequoia is main equestrian sponsor for 2013 Royal Bath & West Show23rd May 2013

Jason Mills, the managing director of regeneration experts Sequoia Land & Property, will be swopping the dust and cement mixers of his Tailor's Yard development in Crewkerne, Somerset for the green fields of Royal Bath & West show next week (29 May-1 June), where Sequoia is the show's main equestrian sponsor.

Jason will be presenting prizes to the cream of the horse world throughout the four day annual show and will have some early starts as the equine classes begin at 7.30am sharp...

"We are delighted to be sponsoring the ridden coloured horse and pony classes - I love the fact that it gives such a wide range of horses, ponies and riders a chance to compete at an extremely high level," said Jason.

Judging of the ridden coloureds will take place in the main ring on Thursday 30 May, starting at 7.30am. As qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) the four classes are extremely popular, with 71 entries received.

Jason, who is from Somerset, believes strongly in supporting local events and communities through Sequoia. So when he and his project manager Natasha Gawler, an accomplished dressage rider who retrains former racehorses, discussed the prospect of Sequoia sponsoring Bath & West, Jason took little convincing. "The Sequoia team shares a great love of the outdoors and country sports and I have always taken a keen interest in horses. Natasha has organised some particularly gorgeous sashes and rosettes for us to present."

"The Royal Bath & West show is a great way to showcase our rapidly growing development business. As one of the best agricultural shows in the country it fits well with our Tailor's Yard development, which is setting a new benchmark for up-market residential development in South West England. The fact that this is the show's 150th anniversary, represents a landmark that we, as a Somerset based heritage property developer, are keen to support," said Jason.

Sequoia is interested in doing more equine sponsorship, particularly for ROR (Retraining of Racehorses) classes and would like to hear from show organisers with ROR classes in need of a sponsor.
